New Hair FAIL

Hello everyone, as I’ve said before, I like to try different hairstyles, and my last obsession as been pink pastel hair. I wanted to do a pink pastel ombre, like you see so many out there in the internet, where all “great” ideas are born! πŸ˜›

So, I’ve thought a lot about it, and I decided to do it, and now I’m going to share it with you.

This is what I wanted to do:

This image is not mine, I just googled it

I’ve spent 6 hours in the hairdresser with a friend, who is a saint, and with my boyfriend, who’s even more “saintier”, and here are the results.

At first, it was a shock, I didn’t know if I liked it or not, or if it was just a matter of getting used to it. But after a few hours I started to regret it. I didn’t hate it, but it was not what I was looking for. I wanted a pastel pink, and it was like a salmon pink, with a lot of orange undertones.

So I rocked this baby for some hours, and the next day I returned to brown. Curiously, I discovered I’m not one to panic! So one good thing came out of this! Ah!

This brown is pretty similar to my natural colour, just a bit darker, so there’s nothing lost. But I’m a little bit sad that it didn’t work out. One day I’ll try again, but for now I’ll let my hair rest!

Do you have any tips how to do a pink pastel ombrΓ©? I know I have to bleach my hair a lot, and I did, but it didn’t work!

Well, I hope you liked my little adventure! Leave your tips bellow!

Xx

  1. I think the key is getting the orangey, brassy undertones out before you put the pink in. It’s hard trying to go from dark to a nice, cool blonde base and takes a lot of time unfortunately 😦 sorry it didn’t work out!

  2. I agree with you. I was a bit dumb, I thought it was possible to do it all in one day, after all it wasn’t. I’ll have to try it another time. 😦
I got a lot of compliments in my “new” colour, so it wasn’t all bad! Got to be positive! πŸ˜›

  3. As much as it’s a disappointment, it’s nice to read on a blog that not everything beauty related goes right. You see so much perfection and it’s refreshing to see when something doesn’t work out for the best. I hope you get it to how you want it in the future – I don’t know whether it’s just the picture but in the last photo where you’ve dyed it brown it looks like you’ve got some purply orange undertones still in there and it looks super pretty πŸ™‚

  4. Thank you! I totally agree with you! I intend to be 100% honest with my experiences, and if it goes wrong I have no problems in sayng it and showing it, as you can see. πŸ˜›
But in the end I really liked the brown, and it does have those purply orange undertones, was a good change in the end! πŸ˜€
Liked to hear from you Katie! Xx
