Makeup Exchange – trying Asian Products

Hello mon petits!

Some time ago, I got to know Pinkie Jann from Bling Me Up, (fantastic blogger and such a sweet person!) and we decided to make a Makeup Exchange: I would send her some products from Europe, and she would send me some products from Asia!

Well, I’ve received my products, and it’s time to share them!

For this exchange, we decided to stick with a budget of 20 Euros, and pick some products that aren’t available in eachother country. We went for inexpensive products, but let me just say, some of the roducts were a really good surprise! I also was very excited to try some new brands and products I couldn’t find in Portugal.

So, we send our packages around 3 weeks ago (give or take), and I received mine this week, which I think is not a big time span, considering we are talking about sending products from one side of the World to the other!

I went to get my package on the past wednesday, and imediately I had to open it, I didn’t wait to get to home or nothing. I just opened it in the car, on my way to work. And the first thing I noticed were this pink post-its with handwriten notes!Β Pinkie left a little note with every product, leaving me directions and thoughts on each item! How sweet! Thank you so much! πŸ˜€

BTW, before I jum into the products, this was a blind exchange, so I didn’t knew what I was going to get, which adds to the fun!

This is what I got:

  • 3 face masks from Innisfree;
  • One eyemask;
  • One paper powdered booklet;
  • One liquid eyeliner pen;
  • One liquid lipstick;
  • One Sebum Control Powder.

I haven’t tried the face masks yet, but as soon as I’ve received the package, I tried imediately the powdered paper, (because I was literally melting in my car) and it works like heaven, especially in this hot days. I just rip one paper, I press it in my skin and it absorbs all the oil, and leaves my skin with a matte finish! Loved it!

Now for the makeup products, I love every single one. The eyeliner is so easy to use, the liquid lipstick is creamy and super confortable, and the powder is perfect for finish or it can also be used as dry shampoo! What more can you ask for?!

I love the Sebum Control Powder from Innisfree. The packaging is super cute, and is so easy to use. I use it as a finishing powder, after applying makeup, or into my bare skin, for a oil free skin, which is hard since we are having a heat wave latelly! I haven’t tried it as a dry shampoo, but I have no doubt it will work perfectly. I didn’t knew this brand, but so far so good!

Here’s the eyeliner. The tip is brush like, is super easy to use, and easy to control the aplication. Is waterproof, which is great for my oily eyelids! The colour is super black, doesn’t smudge, and dries imediately after aplication. Plus, thanks to the brush tip, it draws a beautiful fine line! I’m not a eyeliner expert, I’m that kind of person who always messes up the aplication, so if this worked like magic with me, it will work fine with you! πŸ˜›

This is my favourite product of the bunch, not because I don’t love the other ones, but as you may know, I’m a lipstick junkie, and this is one of my favourite liquid lipstick! It’s the Velourlips from Australis,Β in the shade Oh-Saka, a beautiful berry pink. The shade is super wearable, it’s the kind of pink that I wear everyday! The formula is super creamy, just like my Sephora Cream Lip Stain, and it’s easy to apply, drying super fast and super matte. Doesn’t dry my lips, or creases and cracks, nor does it transfer, like that Colourpop mess. I really love it! Nice pick Pinkie! The only problem I got with it, is how will I get my hands on it when it ends!! πŸ˜›

Plus!, this liquid lipstick has a very sweet smell, like berries, when applying! Is a very nice smell, but it fades away after a couple minutes of wearing.Β

Here’s a swatch and a look, using all three products!

As you can see, the lipstick is almost a pink nude, my kind of colour! I’m so in love!

To sum it up, I really loved this experience. It was super fun to meet someone new, so sweet and thoughtful as Pinkie Jann, and I loved the Makeup Exchange idea! It allowed me to get to know new products, and try new brands. And it was so rewarding to pick products I love or I wanted to try and send them to someone who is on the other side of the World! Which leads me to Pinkie’s post, if you want to see what products I chose to her, here it is! πŸ˜›

I hope you liked this experience, I know I loved it! This is exactly why I love blogging, it allows us to meet great people all over the World, and share such fun experiences together! It really was a unique experience for me! And I’m so happy I could share it with you!

Thank you for reading and have a great day/night, depending on where you are at! πŸ˜€

Xoxo,

Sofia
