Guess who’s back?!
It’s me, with a brand new, review, swatch, eight hours test, etc…
This time, I’m testing TOO FACED Lip Primer.
For some time that I’ve been wanting to buy a Lip Primer. I’m so obsessed with liquid lipsticks, and lip products in general, that I’ve wanted to try and see if a lip primer does some difference.
I went to Sephora and I wasn’t suposed to buy this one, I went to buy their melted lipstick, but I thought, “If I’m going to buy the lipstick, I might as well try the Primer”! And that’s how I went broke! 😛
The packaging is beautifull, and sturdy, and it costs around 21 euros, which is a bit expensive for me, but if it works, it’s worth it!
In order to put this baby to the test, I’ve applied it only in the left side of my lips, and in the other half I’ve applied a lip moisturizer as I normally do.
Let’s go then!
This primer has a white transparent colour, I can’t describe it better, and a doe foot aplicator. After applying it, I just wait for it to dry, which is very fast, and apply right away the lipstick.
This time, I decided to test this Lip Primer, with one of my trickiest lipstick, The Sephora Lip Stain, or something like that, in bold red (01). I say the trickiest, not because it’s a bad one, but because it is the harder one to apply.
Right from the start, I could tell that the lip primer helps a lot when applying the lipstick! It went a lot more smoother, and the lines where more perfect on the side with the primer. It felt like the lipsitck glided better, and was more bright on the side with the primer.
Now, let’s see the results after 5 hours of wear:
I didn’t even make it to the 8 hours of wear! And why, you might ask?! Because I decided that I really wanted to eat Chinese Food, and after some Rice Noodles, this was the result, almost all my lipstick wore-off.
But, I could clearly see a difference on both sides. The side with the primer as a lot more lipstick,
clinging for his life, and the side with no primer is more smudged.
Of course this was an unfair test, I shouldn’t have eaten those noodles!, but after all, the lipstick just reapplied like a dream, and I’m really happy with my primer.
I do think it makes a difference, for instance, this red lipstick always stains and smudges on the corners of my mouth, and with the primer it didn’t do it. I’m really happy with it!
What about you? Have you tested this Lip Primer? Have you tested any other Lip Primer, that you think is better or cheaper? You can share down below, I always like to know and test new products!
